Introduction: hospitals as one of the first centers of reception of injured at the time of accession of disasters should have required readiness. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating factors effective on readiness of hospitals affiliated to Medical Universities of Boushehr University against accidental events in 2017.

Methodology: this study was a descriptive- cross sectional study which has been conducted with in 2017 on 152 members of crisis team in Boushehr Province hospitals. The questionnaire of accidental events with 157 questions and 7 domains was provided for crisis team of Boushehr Province hospitals. Data analysis was performed using SPSS statistical software version 21 and using descriptive and inferential tests.

Results: the variable of safety and materials equipment with 0.501 has been located in the highest rank of the table and is the most important factor on which the hospitals have done the required measurements. Variables of discharge and transfer and reception of patients have respectively acquired rates if 0.47 and 0.41 and play a considerable role in low level of hospitals readiness. Among studied factors, the lowest rate and also their most effective is emergency whose rate has been estimated 0.217 (very weak). The variable of continuous preparation and training of personnel for 0.377 has less significance and is in the lower ranks. The rate of support unit variable is 0.33 which plays a considerable role in readiness level of hospital.

Conclusion: in this study, despite all performed predictions and general policy of hospitals, rate of readiness of Boushehr hospitals is not suitable. The greatest readiness is in the field of safety and materials equipment and the lowest one is in the field of evaluating planning of emergency department
