Background:Countrywiderevised national tuberculosis control programmes,is among mega ventures, needingfeedback on practical success attheperipherallevel.Objective:Treatmentoutcome profile at medical college bases DOTs centre with simultaneousconsideration of epidemiological factors was attempted to be appraised.Method:Aretrospective investigation of records of 73 tuberculosis patientswithout HIV coinfection, managedat TB/DOTS clinic in a medical college in central India is reported. Thetreatment outcome in patients is analyzedwith reference to demographic characteristicsand disease profile in patients. Results:on-HIV tuberculosisappears to be satisfactorily addressed at TB/DOTS care. Malegender was found to associate negative trait and relatively poor outcome than the female patients. Otherstudied parameters did not exhibit influence on treatment success, whatsoever. Conclusion:Findings emphasizetheprimacyof perspectives left out consideration in the study. Studieson antitubercular therapy outcomes in HIV coinfected patients, aswell as patients not well tolerating the therapy may be warranted, alongwith better support foradvanced laboratory investigation in problem cases
